Frequently Asked Questions
What is Workvan?
Workvan is a New Zealand-based company that designs and builds modular drawer systems, false floors, and van fit-outs for tradies and businesses. Everything is made locally in Auckland, purpose-built for tough Kiwi conditions.
Who makes Workvan products?
All products are designed, engineered, and manufactured by the Workvan team in Auckland. That means local materials, fast turnaround, and support from people who know how Kiwi trades work.

…and many more. If your vehicle isn’t listed, custom options are available.
What products do you offer?
Workvan builds:
Ute drawer systems
False floor setups
Van shelving
Decking and protective flooring
Full custom and fleet fit-outs
All solutions are modular and can be tailored to your trade.
What materials are used in your systems?
Workvan uses high-quality plywood, marine carpet, powder-coated steel, and aluminium components. Materials are chosen to be tough, lightweight, and durable for NZ job sites. Where needed, UV-resistant trim and corrosion-resistant fixings are used.
Are your systems heavy-duty?
Yes. All products are designed to handle the demands of everyday trade work. They're built to last, whether you're carrying power tools, fasteners, or heavy gear.
Do drawers come on runners or sliders?
Yes, you can choose either.
Workvan offers both steel drawer runners for smooth, full-extension access, and runner-free systems that glide on low-friction guides. The runner-free option is ideal for dusty worksites where traditional runners could clog.
How much weight can your drawers hold?
Drawers are built to hold serious weight—perfect for tools, fittings, and gear. Weight ratings vary depending on size and whether you choose runners or slides, so ask the team during your quote for specific figures.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Most systems are easy to install using basic tools. Many tradies choose to fit it themselves, and Workvan can provide tips or support if needed.
Do you offer custom fit-outs?
Absolutely. Whether you need a tailored solution for your tools or a branded fleet fit-out, Workvan can customise your setup to suit your work.

Do your drawers lock?
Yes. Drawer systems come with solid locking latches to keep your tools secure on the move or parked up.
Can I add a false floor with drawers?
Yes, false floor systems can be installed with or without drawers. They give you a flat deck for storage while keeping gear hidden and secure underneath.
